How do you get started?

As an attending individual?

Much as we would love to help everyone, we have our limits and there are certain conditions you need to meet before we can offer you a service.

To attend, you must be referred to us through your social worker before you can have access to Holder House. Your needs will have to be assessed and you’ll need an agreed personal budget. Once you have this completed, you are required to accept our Service Led Agreement.

All Holder House activities services are paid either through direct payments or, if you don’t receive direct payments, you can self-fund by paying for the activities yourself.

When we receive a referral from your social worker, we review it and see if we can help you in any way. We need to make sure our services are suitable, that you would find them enjoyable and worthwhile. If we decide we can help, we will support you with the way forward.

If you need any more information on your eligibility to attend Holder House, receive direct payments or manage personal budgets, please talk to your social worker first. Then get in touch with us for advice on what we may be able to offer you.

As a volunteer?

We welcome volunteers to help us in our work and who can benefit from the support in personal and professional benefits we offer. All our volunteers are included in our professional training opportunities and will need to be interviewed and DBS checked before working with us.
